At this old groceries store, of friendly and casual atmosphere, Chef Pablo Ranea, who is one of the creators of the “New Argentine Cuisine”, works with traditional ingredients and recipes but in a more gourmet style and a much nicer presentation. The restaurant offers delicious cold meat appetizers: The traditional dish called “de Campo” is served on a large wooden board and includes a selection of cold meats, cured meats and cheese; and the “Special” that apart from Parma ham and salami, includes smoked trout, salmon, pheasant, wild boar, deer and capybara, original salads, simple Mediterranean food which are an excuse to accompany the wines which are the specialty. The restaurant features a heated room (cellar) where guests can choose their wine and take it directly to the table or buy it and take it home. In the summer, the tables are arranged on the sidewalk, under the trees and next to the street side irrigation canals. The service is very good.
